Miami Award Program Honors the Achievement

MIAMI December 13, 2013 -- Gallery212 has been selected for the 2013 Miami Award in the Music Venues category by the Miami Award Program.

Each year, the Miami Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Miami area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2013 Miami Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Miami Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Artist, Actor “El Gringo” Aaron Hill is known especially in the Latin community of South Florida as “Nice to Meet You” from the immensely popular Univision TV program Sabado Gigante; the longest continuously running television show in history.  His local fame and artist name “El Gringo” derive from his character on the comedy skit La Cuatro.  Aaron is delighted to meet the Wynwood art community and to present his original artwork in its debut.  His exhibition will change monthly as it runs through March 1, 2014 to include the gallery's Special Group Exhibition during Art Basel Miami in December of 2013.

“We all have the ability for organic passion through the microscope of life.”  Having a passion for fitness, healthy food and the vibrancy of life, Hill lives an artistic ‘Renaissance man’ lifestyle.  Equally important to him as focusing on staying healthy and living a positively influenced life is the work he does with charity organizations to help those with Parkinson’s Disease, Cancer and Diabetes.  He is a member of the Kiaora Society which focuses on creating a safer world for young people through the YES Institute.  After completing his Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati and traveling all over the world, the influences of Hill’s work are endless; the Moon and Sun Pyramids in Mexico; the running springs of Puerto Rico; the love for food and culture of the Caribbean and the classic artworks found in the Louvre of Paris.  The Organic Passion Series is mainly inspired by the fauna and flora of Florida and the Everglades.   See a Spanish lime or a Palmetto palm as if under a microscope.  Simple yet creative organic titles allow viewers to form conceptual ideas of what each piece may be, while abstract shapes and electric colors guide the mind to imagine further. Aaron's full bio and series can be found online at http://www.wynwoodartgroup.com/Artist-Detail.cfm?ArtistsID=704
